A little about me..
Education: I studied at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY for 4 years and hold a BFA degree in Fine Arts. I am basically a self-taught artist and became interested in drawing and painting from early on. Both comicbooks and animation shows were a source of inspiration for me, and have aspired to become a comicbook artist and an animator. Though I found myself being an illustrator more to my liking because of the illustrative nature and painting. Much later I got involved in film effects work, computer animation and games so I've adopted my style to take on such design tasks.
Work experience: I've close to 25 years experience in the industry, and have wide breadth of styles and techniques to meet the challenges from variety of assignments. Essentially, both technique and styles come and go but the important thing is to have a good grasp of the foundation which one can build on. I'm currently working on several books that will be published locally and internationally.

Influences: I met my child-hood hero Frank Frazetta in 1995 at his home in East Stroudsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was thrill of a lifetime! My main artistic influences are Michaelangelo, Baroque art, the Bauhaus movement, Rembrandt, Klimpt, Norman Rockwell, Miyazaki, Fantasia, Rico Lebrun, Syd Mead, Ralph McQuarrie, John Berkey , H.R. Giger and Lebbeus Woods.
Interests: I enjoy teaching students who are willing to learn. ^^ Others are auto racing, travelling, water sports, skiing, hiking, movies, video games.
In the late '90's I've attended a two-day film course at Hollywood Film Institute and various workshops in Los Angeles, CA to study about film production and animation production - even hand-animating traditionally. Currently, I live and work in S. Korea as a visiting professor through IITA program, and do consulting work for various animation, game and movie studios in Seoul. There are some exciting projects I'm currently working on both in Korea and abroad (to constantly broaden my artistic scope and share personal vision and experience).
